Full tuition (up to ₹2 lakh), ₹3,000 a month for living, plus books and a laptop
For OBC students admitted to top institutions such as IITs, NITs, AIIMS and national law universities. Many Muslim communities, like Ansari, Qureshi, Saifi and Mansuri, are on the central OBC list.

About ₹3,000 a year for day scholars
For minority students in Class 9 and 10 in Uttar Pradesh.
Some websites and WhatsApp messages still say these are open for 2026-27. They are not taking new applications. Never pay anyone to apply for them.
- Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities (central)No new applications since 2022-23. The minister confirmed this in Parliament in July 2026. A revival is under discussion but not approved.
- Post-Matric and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships for Minorities (central)No fresh applications since 2022-23, and not on the 2026-27 National Scholarship Portal list. Only old renewals were processed.
- Begum Hazrat Mahal National ScholarshipEnded when the Maulana Azad Education Foundation was dissolved in 2024.
- Maulana Azad National FellowshipStopped from 2022-23. Other fellowships through UGC may still be open to minority researchers.
